As part of the intensive technical preparations for the launch of the new 2025 sports season&– In 2026, the elite leadership of the Qatar Football Association continues its intensive preparations through a special camp held at the InterContinental Doha Hotel from July 31st to August 11th.

The camp includes 56 referees, assistant referees, and VAR officials, as well as members of the refereeing committee and technical expert Valentin Ivanov, all of whom successfully passed the physical fitness tests with a 100% pass rate. These tests were a mandatory requirement for participation in this specialized camp. The physical fitness tests were conducted on the specially equipped and designed Aspire stadium, which is used to measure physical performance, and the referees underwent rigorous and technologically advanced tests.

The results showed that all participating referees achieved a 100% success rate, reflecting their high physical and mental readiness to compete in the upcoming season. The training camp is being held under the supervision of Mr. Hani Blan, the head of the referees committee in the Qatar Football Association, who emphasized the importance of technical and professional discipline during this gathering.

The camp program includes theoretical lectures, which are held within the camp hotel, focusing on updating game rules, reviewing refereeing cases, and using VAR technology, as well as video analysis exercises. Practical training takes place on the Al Duhail Club and Qatar University stadiums, and includes decision-making exercises, positioning, reaction speed, and applying real-life scenarios from matches. The camp concludes on August 11th.
