Yesterday, Lebanon and the Arab world mourned the loss of the artist Ziad Rahbani, who died at the age of 69. The President of the Lebanese Republic, General Joseph Aoun, honored the late Ziad Rahbani.&"National Order of the Golden Rice, rank of Commander"&»، and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam presented the award on behalf of President Aoun.

And so began the final farewell journey from the area of Hamra in Beirut, which held a special place in the heart of the artist Rachid, in a majestic scene, as his friends, admirers, and colleagues had wished. 

Tears flowed freely among the crowds, in an atmosphere of deep sorrow, accompanied by the recitation of songs and artistic performances dedicated to the deceased, followed by the funeral ceremony, which was attended by a large number of representatives from various Lebanese factions, in the town of Bekfaya. 

The attention was focused on the artist, Fairuz, the mother of the late, who was hiding her tears behind her dark glasses. Tears would stream down from beneath the dark lenses, which she would dab away with a handkerchief. Mourners would then pass by, bowing in sympathy, and offering their condolences in a brief, moving farewell.
